Claire provides a safe, empathetic and non-judgmental space in which her clients feel able to share their concerns and work collaboratively towards resolving their issues, improving well-being and enhancing their happiness. Claire has experience of dealing with a range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, body image, self-esteem and confidence, substance misuse, life transitions and relationship difficulties.
Claire was raised in the UK where she spent over 20 years working in the finance industry. She has lived in Hong Kong for 10 years. Life in Hong Kong can be fast-paced, lonely, demanding and stressful. Many people are living far away from their families and missing their usual support network of relatives and friends. Claire is committed to providing support to children, adolescents and adults who are facing life challenges by helping them develop the insight and skills needed to live a happy and fulfilled life. Claire uses a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person Centred Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to provide client-specific counselling based on each client’s individual situation, needs and goals.
Claire trained as a clinical hypnotherapist with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and the University of West London. Claire combines her counselling experience with hypnotherapeutic techniques to provide a holistic approach to a number of behavioural and physiological issues. Claire has experience in helping clients with issues such as stress, smoking cessation, weight management, phobias and social anxiety. She also works with clients to improve sleep, increase motivation and build confidence.
Claire has completed Level 1 and 2 of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She works with couples and families to improve communication, resolve conflict and strengthen relationships. Claire also provides premarital counselling which allows couples to explore their desires, expectations and differences so they can better understand each and support each other during marriage.
Claire is the current Vice President of Psychotherapy Society of Hong Kong.
