PEERS (Adolescent and Young Adult)

Join our PEERS-Basics, our
new PEERS-Dungeons & Dragons, and our Bullying-focused programmes today!

In this four-day Handling Bullying Summer Group (with separate groups for ages 11–14 and 15–18), teens build practical skills for managing and responding to the everyday peer challenges that can make school and social life stressful. Each session will explore common and realistic social situations – teasing, rumors, gossip, cyberbullying, and physical or verbal bullying – and equip teens with clear, evidence-informed strategies (using socially appropriate comebacks, setting respectful boundaries, and shifting a negative reputation, quick comebacks) through psychoeducation, modelling, and guided role-play.

This will be followed by repeated opportunities to practice new skills in a safe, supportive group setting – where every interaction is a chance to build confidence. Using realistic scenarios drawn from school, friendships, and online life, the group works through the situations teens actually face: handling a hurtful comment, responding to a rumor, navigating a changing reputation, or knowing what to do when a boundary is crossed. With feedback and coaching from a counsellor trained in the PEERS® approach, teens get a welcoming, judgement-free space to try out new responses, learn from peers, and walk away with tools they can use the moment they need them – in person and online.

The PEERS-Informed Handling Bullying Summer Group is a structured social skills group running in for ages 11–14 and 15–18 – for adolescents who experience difficulty managing teasing, bullying, cyberbullying, rumors and gossip, boundary-setting, or other peer relationship challenges, that uses PEERS®-informed strategies and activities to teach, practice and generalize evidence-informed social skills. Identify different types of bullying and peer conflict, learn safe and practical responses, practice appropriate comebacks and boundary-setting, develop strategies for cyberbullying and gossip, and build social confidence and problem-solving skills through this interactive summer social skills opportunity.

Included in the package: a one-hour parenting workshop introducing caregivers to the key concepts, skills, and strategies their teen is learning, and exploring how parents can best support their child in putting these skills into practice at home, at school, and online. Optional but strongly encouraged – and included as part of the program.

A PEERS-Informed, Game-Based Dungeons & Dragons Program for Schools & Families.
In this daily three-hour Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) + PEERS Social Skills Adventure (ages 12-18), teens build real-world friendship skills and then put them into action with their own party of heroes. Each session will explore the invisible social rules with a PEERS social skills session, where the group learns clear, practical strategies (like starting conversations, joining in, handling disagreement, and repair) through discussion, modelling, and guided practice.

This will be followed by preparing for and carrying out a D&D quest where imagination leads the way – and every choice matters. Using simple rules and dice rolls, the group collaborates to shape the story’s outcomes: clever plans, brave rescues, unexpected alliances, and dramatic twists. Players create (or choose) their own character and team up to tackle mysteries, puzzles, and challenges – negotiating with suspicious townsfolk, exploring ancient ruins, and solving magical riddles. Along the way, teens will also learn how to set up and run their own D&D-style groups at home and school, gaining the tools to keep the adventure – and the friendships – going after camp ends. With support from a counsellor certified to deliver the PEERS Program, teens get a welcoming, sensory aware space to practice skills in the moment, build confidence with peers, and develop genuine friendships – week by week, adventure by adventure.

PEERS + D&D is a structured social skills group for neurodiverse teens aged 12-18 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or related social challenges, that uses tabletop roleplaying (Dungeons & Dragons – style) to teach, practice and generalize evidence-informed social skills (integrating key concepts from the PEERS approach). Build conversation skills, learn a structured approach to build friendships, practice emotion regulation, and expand flexible thinking through this interactive summer camp social-skills opportunity.

Camps are offered on a weekly basis each week of summer from 6 July to 10 August 2026.

Sign up now, spaces limited HK$5000 per week, try each one and stock up on skills and practice before the start of the new academic year!

WHAT IS PEERS?

The Programme for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Adolescents is a six week evidence-based parent/caregiver-assisted social skills intervention for motivated teens in middle and high school with social challenges who are interested in learning new ways of making and keeping friends. This internationally acclaimed program, used in over 70 countries in over 18 different languages, was originally developed at UCLA by Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson. PEERS® is world-renowned for providing evidence-based social skills treatment to preschoolers, adolescents, and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and other socio-emotional learning needs.

WHAT HAPPENS IN PEERS for Adolescents?

The PEERS® for Adolescents 6-week social skills intervention for youth is held for 50 minutes each group session for students with regular updates separately for parents/caregivers/emotion coach, depending on format offered. During each group session, teens are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills in session during socialisation activities. Parents/coaches are given the resources to support their teen in the learning from the weekly sessions and are taught how to assist their teens in making and keeping friends by helping to expand their teen’s social network and providing feedback through coaching during weekly socialisation home practice guidance. Participation in the adolescent PEERS® 6-week virtual programme, when offered, can provide the same much needed support for teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression or other social and behavioral disorders. when attendance in person is not possible. Parent/caregiver/emotion coach participation is required.
