Our team provide one-to-one and group support for a range of developmental differences for youth and for those whose difficulties may persist into adulthood.
Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia are all Specific Learning Disorders (SpLD) that cause great difficulty for the individual to access knowledge in a traditional manner and/or when acquired, to accurately demonstrate the learning they have worked so hard to develop.
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a well documented difficulty with paying attention, keeping track of things, self-regulation, managing impulses, as well as with a range of executive function skills, such as planning, organisation, initiation, inhibition, staying on task, emotion regulation, working memory, and more.
Other key areas where individuals can have difficulties with the developmental processes, that sometimes persist into adulthood, especially without appropriate identification and support, includes Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Selective Mutism, Tics and Motor Difficulties, Sleep/Wake difficulties, eating and speaking difficulties, sensory integration, and motor coordination. All of which can be best addressed through a concerted effort and a collaborative team approach between the individual, parents, caregivers, other family members, school, therapists, and more.
Our support begins with gaining a full understanding of every presenting person by taking a complete history, appropriately pursuing the diagnostic process, following up on recommendations with all, and persisting in the support process where needed. Specialist practitioners can provide dedicated one-to-one individualised plans to build and strengthen the skills necessary for learning and for life.
