Priya is passionate about providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space to explore the many issues and challenges that life brings. She focuses on equipping clients with the tools and insight that empowers them to utilise their strengths and move forward to overcome obstacles and live life to the fullest. Priya has experience in a wide range of issues including relationship issues, stress, depression, anxiety, life transitions, teen issues, and low self-esteem. She also has a special interest in supporting clients with women’s issues such as infertility, postnatal depression, pregnancy loss, and IVF.
Priya uses a person-centred, holistic, and integrative approach individually tailored to the client’s personal needs and life experience. She uses evidence- based techniques that include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is also trained to offer “tapping” to clients (EFT- Emotional Freedom Techniques).
Priya is a certified DIR Floortime Practitioner, Triple P Coach, and (UCLA) PEERS for Adolscents provider. She brings a wealth of experience to her counselling practice from over 15 years of working in education overseeing the management of socio-emotional care and support in international schools. This includes children and adolescents with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, and specialised learning needs. From this experience she understands the importance of holistic and individualised care and has trained in DIR Floortime, Triple P Positive Parenting Programmes, and PEERS to enhance her skills in supporting children, parents, and caregivers. Originally from London and having spent 24 years living and working internationally in various countries Priya understands the unique stresses and strains to wellbeing that living in a bustling cosmopolitan city like Hong Kong can present.
