Integrative Yoga for Mental Health
Integrative Yoga sessions are specifically designed to support the major areas of mental health well-being, and is essential in building a better awareness of one’s emotions and bodily communications. Yoga sessions are tailor-made to establish a strong foundation of breath-regulation skills, allowing to quieten the busy mind and access one’s inner resources and mental strength.
Each session is integrated in a one-hour vinyasa flow (sequence of postures) with a wide range of psychosomatic practices, including:
- Posture and pelvic adjustment
- Qi Gong & Spinal alignment
- Psoas & Hip Opening
- Functional core strength & Restorative Yin Yoga
- Balance and range-of motion integrity
- Kriyas & Breath Regulation
Each session is finished with a short meditation.
Through the opening and grounding practices, clients could benefit in attaining a better clarity of mind, lightness of body and a wider sense of control over one’s emotional responses. Designed to complement one’s therapeutic goals, the Yoga practice has been significantly researched to benefit clients with a wide range of mental health issues. Yoga sessions are conducted in private or a group setting by appointment.
The meditative and gentle practice can be adapted to suit all levels of fitness, adults of all ages, women in pregnancy and children above 9 years old.
