What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?
CBT is an empirically validated, structured and short-term form of psychotherapy that helps a person to change unhelpful or unhealthy thinking habits, feelings and behaviours. CBT helps children and adolescents recognise and label their emotions, and examine the thoughts and beliefs connected to their moods, behaviours, physical experiences, and life events. Studies have demonstrated its effectiveness with a variety of emotional and behavioural difficulties in chidlren and adolescents.

What age is suitable?
Children and Adolescents from age 7 years and older, depending on maturity. This will be deteremined during the initial consultation with the psychologist.
How Long is Therapy?
Therapy could last to from five (5) to 20 sessions depending on the presenting conern(s). In some cases, you can expect to see an improvement in just a few weeks; however, it might take longer.
